Kelly & Michael: Jeff Probst “Survivor” Fans Vs. Fan Favorites 2

Jeff Probst: Newlywed & New Stepfather

Survivor host Jeff Probst has done it all. He’s won five Emmy Awards and traveled to some of the most exotic destinations in the world. However, one thing Kelly never thought he’d do is get married. Finally, he’s proven her wrong! Jeff recently married his girlfriend, Lisa, and became a stepfather to her two children in the process. Kelly believed that Jeff would be an eternal bachelor, but now he loves domestic life.

Jeff’s stepkids watch Survivor, which means they believe he can make a fire, build shelter, etc, but in reality, he’s far from “that guy.” “I can start a fire,” Jeff admitted. He has managed to create a fire in order to make s’mores. But he doesn’t have the type of wilderness skills that people may think (Survivor is just a television show, after all).

Jeff Probst: Survivor: Fans vs. Fan Favorites 2

Survivor has been on CBS for 26 seasons, and its current season is Survivor: Fans vs. Fan Favorites 2, where fans have the chance to compete against former contestants. When asked who has the advantage, Jeff answered that “it kind of balances out.” The fans may have an advantage going in because they’ve watched from home and devised their own strategies, but the fan favorites also have the experience of having played the game before.

Jeff Probst: Least Favorite Survivor Contestant

Kelly asked a great question that I didn’t think Jeff would answer, but he did! He admitted that his least favorite contestant of all time is Russell Hantz. He believes that Russell is “a bad guy,” but admits that he’s “riveting to watch.”

Jeff Probst: Probing Probst

Next, Kelly and Michael challenged Jeff to a game of “Probing Probst.” The theme was other television hosts. Both Kelly and Michael performed impressions of Bruno from Dancing with the Stars, Heidi Klum from Project Runway, Christina Aguilera from The Voice and Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest and Nicki Minaj from American Idol. Plus, they described “the most gorgeous, dynamic duo in daytime television.” Can you guess who they were referring to?

After winning his golden mug, Jeff explained that he’s written a children’s book, Stranded, available now. Also watch Survivor on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
