Jimmy Kimmel: After Oscar Show
Who’s the sexiest man in Hollywood? No, it’s not Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper or even Michael Strahan. It’s Jimmy Kimmel! Jimmy accepted his “award” for sexiest man and joined Kelly and Michael for an interview. Before he sat down, though, Jimmy fumbled a bit on his way to the stage. “I was doing a ‘Jennifer Lawrence,'” he explained.
Unlike Christoph Waltz, Jimmy Kimmel hadn’t been partying all night. Instead, he hosted his own After Oscar Show on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Guests included Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum, who gave a performance that was best suited for late night television. Jamie sang a song called “I want to Channing all over your Tatum,” while Channing danced on the piano. Jimmy feels bad for Channing because “this is probably going to dog him for the rest of his life.”
Jimmy Kimmel: Crashing Governors Ball
The first time Jimmy attended a post-Oscars party, he wasn’t even invited! He described crashing the Governors Ball in the mid 1990s, back when he was just a struggling comedian. He waited at the venue all day, then got kicked out just before the party began. Eventually, Jimmy managed to sneak in with the help of Jack Nicholson and his entourage, and was later brought food by John Travolta.
Kelly & Michael: Academy Awards Best Dressed & Trends
Later, the night’s biggest fashions were recapped with Carson Kressley, Maria Menounos, and Lawrence Zarian. There were so many gorgeous gowns to choose from, but they managed to each pick their favorite. Who is your pick for Academy Awards Best Dressed?
Carson loved Halle Berry’s sparkly, art-deco style Versace gown. He believed that it “really stood out.” Maria Menounos chose Jessica Chastain as best dressed. The always-elegant star looked gorgeous with simple hair and makeup and a rose gold gown that fit her perfectly. Lawrence said that Jane Fonda, who is in her 70s, gave all the young startlets a run for their money in a classy yellow gown.
Undoubtedly, the big trend of the night was “shimmer and shine.” Sparkling, sequined gowns were worn by almost everyone, including Naomi Watts, Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Hudson. As for the men, beards were a giant trend; Ben Affleck, George Clooney and Bradley Cooper all rocked the scruffy look.
