Andy Cohen Watch What Happens Live
From Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen joined Kelly Ripa at the co-host desk today. He marveled at their large new swiveling chairs. Despite rumors of Cohen being a contender for the permanent slot alongside Ripa, it sounds like he won’t be getting too comfortable in that chair. Kelly Ripa announced that Watch What Happens Live is expanding to five nights a week, beginning January 8, 2012, on Bravo.
“I love live TV, which is one of the reasons I love your show,” Andy Cohen said. “And we’re going to be the only live show in late night, every night at 11, so I can’t wait.” Kelly Ripa said that Andy Cohen’s show reminds her of Live With Kelly more than any other late night talk show.
Kelly Ripa: Holiday Diet Tips
Kelly Ripa is encouraging everyone to eat a regular dinner at their next holiday meal. She explained that overeating at the holiday can start a food binging marathon that can last until New Year’s Eve. Then everyone makes resolutions to lose weight or join a gym. But they could Avoid Holiday Overeating and stress by not letting things get out of control in the first place. If you do get an upset stomach after a big holiday meal, Kelly Ripa said that a peppermint or a candy cane will help to settle your stomach.
Kelly Ripa Christmas Plans
Kelly Ripa is taking her children to see Broadway shows like The Nutcracker and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and to look at New York City’s famous department store window displays during the holidays. She explained that Andy Cohen’s office overlooks the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, and she said this is her favorite time of year.
“I feel like I work at Christmas Town,” Andy Cohen said of his Rockefeller Center office, which he described as a zoo. He wants to avoid the madness during the holidays. Rockfeller Center is home to a huge Christmas tree and a famous skating rink, which both draw big crowds during the Christmas season.
Kelly Ripa: 12 Days of Christmas Cost 2011
Kelly Ripa reported on the annual tally of all the items mentioned in the holiday carol “The 12 Days of Christmas.” “We have finally, for the first time ever, cracked the $100,000 mark,” she said. The total cost of the items, including partridges, pear trees, and all, is up 9.2% from 2010.
“I got my turtle doves at Sam’s, so very cheap,” Andy Cohen joked. The co-hosts also reminisced about Donny and Marie Osmond’s rewritten version of “The 12 Days of Christmas” lyrics in their ‘70s Christmas special.
Spa La La La La Travel Trivia
Today’s contestant was Gerald Stephens from Youngstown, New York, who appeared via Skype with his new puppy, Chuy. Kelly Ripa also had a dog named Chuy. Andy Cohen came around the desk to spin the prize wheel for Gerald.
Today’s prize was The Seagate Hotel & Spa in Florida, a seven-day, six-night trip valued at $7,400. The question was: “We’ve had actor Robert Pattinson on the show. What is his character’s name in the ‘Twilight’ series of films?” The correct answer was Edward.
Even though Gerald appeared to be searching for the answer on his computer, he claimed he was just trying to think of the answer. He guessed incorrectly, but he and audience member 191 received a Jergens skin care package and $500.
