Kelly & Michael: Teeth Cleaning With Laughing Gas

Kelly had just had her teeth cleaned and was feeling refreshed for Live’s Friday morning show. Not all people enjoy visiting the dentist, but Kelly loves it. Michael enjoys it as well, but only with the help of laughing gas, nitrous oxide.

Kelly didn’t realize that you could get laughing gas just for a teeth cleaning, but apparently, you can! Michael said that he “solves the world’s problems” when he’s under the influence of laughing gas, but as soon as it wears off, he forgets all his brilliant ideas.

Michael shared a photograph of a Cirque du Soleil performer throwing the first pitch at a Mets game. There were people dressed as frogs (at least I think they were frogs) surrounding the mound. Maybe Andy Cohen can get a few pointers!

Kelly & Michael: Remembering Roger Ebert

Kelly and Michael were both sad to hear the news that legendary film critic Roger Ebert had passed away at the age of 70. Roger appeared on Live! many times over the years and was a great friend. Kelly has many fond memories of his show Ebert & Roeper. Roger Ebert was gone too soon, but his legacy is definitely a lasting one.

Michael Strahan: Couple Reunites After 60 Years

On a much lighter note, Michael shared the story of a couple named Eileen and Warren, 78 and 79. 60 years ago, they were teenagers in love when their parents forbid them to be together. Now, after all this time, they’ve finally gotten married. It’s proof that true love never goes away!

Kelly Ripa: Dog Says “I Love You”

Kelly shared a clip of a dog in Texas who barks “I love you.” He was a shelter dog, so Kelly immediately wanted to adopt him. However, she knows that Mark would definitely not approve. “If I brought home another dog from the pound, I would be in the pound,” she said. After reading the full article, though, she realized that the dog (named Domino) has already been adopted. It’s a happy ending anyway, and Kelly doesn’t have to be in the dog house!

Kelly & Michael: Man Arrested For Dancing While Driving

The car is the best place for listening to music, because we’re free to sing as loud as we want without anyone else hearing! For a man in England, though, the jam session went a little too far. He was arrested for driving under the influence, because he lost control of his car while dancing in the driver’s seat.
Kelly and Michael wondered what song he was playing, but the article didn’t say. This gave Kelly a chance to show off her British accent while she suggested that he was playing the Spice Girls.

Kelly Ripa: Walking Is Just As Good As Jogging

A new study from U.S. scientists has found that walking is just as good as jogging for heart health. That’s a relief for people like Kelly, who always feel “lazy” when a jogger whizzes by. However, they don’t mean walking from the bed to the refrigerator. Get outside into some fresh air!

Michael Strahan: Naked Survival Show

A new survival show has been announced and Kelly thinks Michael would be the perfect fit. Contestants will be dropped onto a desert island with no tools, no food, no water and no clothes! The challenge will be to survive 60 days. Somehow, I don’t think that premise would appeal to Michael (or anyone).
