Kelly & Michael: Derek Jeter’s Retirement
Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan talked a lot about Derek Jeter retiring last week. Michael really should have retired like that and gotten a long goodbye, but he didn’t. Jeter got a lot of gifts. But that wasn’t really his last game. He also played in Boston and got a sign that said respect. New York and Boston are real rivals, but they did give him a lot of respect. All of the Jeter merchandise was sold out and they cheered for him. New Yorkers were mad though. A paper said, “The Sox did well, but Jeter’s our Captain.” I think that’s a little ridiculous.
Michael talked about what happened if he didn’t do well. When you’re winning, you’re everything and everyone does things for you. When something goes wrong a week later though, nothing can go right. People mess up your order and throw your food at you. “You’re so despised that you hide inside. It is the worst feeling in the world,” Michael said. At a certain point, Michael just stopped caring though. They can write the worst things about you and then act all nice the next day.
Kelly & Michael: International Coffee Day
September 29 is International coffee day. That’s great! I love coffee! There are places where you can get free coffee. Dunkin Donuts, McDonald’s, Krispy Kreme, Peet’s Coffee, and Starbucks will all have deals.
Kelly & Michael: Michael Strahan Magic Mike Appearance
Michael’s been staying away from coffee and has been drinking tea lately. He’s trying to look his best for his appearance on the next Magic Mike movie. He even showed off his skills when Channing Tatum came on the show a while back. He did it as a joke, but Tatum kept joking and bringing it up, and now it’s really happening. So Michael’s been cutting out some foods to get ready. Kelly said she could help him with hair removal. They might even wax him on the show. Kelly’s waxed Gelman. Michael talked to the wardrobe guy, but there really isn’t a wardrobe to talk about.

Time to Smile Travel Trivia: Andy Samberg
The Time to Smile Travel Trivia dancer was Delea Starky from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I thought she was really talented. The contestant was Lucy Heagy from Brentwood, Pennsylvania. She had a cook off with steak with another couple on Saturday and she watched football on Sunday. She’s retired now, but Kelly said she had the voice of a little girl. She has an anniversary coming up next month. She played for the Fairmont Mayakoba in Mexico. It’s valued at $7,500. The question was:
She got it right! It was Oregon. She picked number 21 because that’s how long she’ll be married to get a five year subscription to Netflix with a digital streaming device.
