Kelly & Michael: Daylight Saving Time Begins
Warning: Daylight Saving Time is coming this weekend. Most Americans will set their clocks ahead one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 9 2014. Kelly and Michael agreed that we should stop this silly practice and just leave it in place.
News reports remind us that Daylight Saving Time is hazardous to our health. Everyone will be late on Sunday and Monday. In reality, the practice actually wastes energy instead of saving it. Kelly said she prefers to fall back and gain an extra hour of sleep in the fall.
Michael said that he does not like it getting dark earlier, because it makes him feel depressed. He remembered it staying light out much later when he was young. Kelly said that she had dinner in Paris over the summer and the sun was setting as late as 10 p.m. What do you think of Daylight Saving Time?
