Jimmy Kimmel Live: Stanley Tucci Jack the Giant Slayer Review
Jack the Giant Slayer is hitting theaters March 1 2013 and if you had seen the movie when it first started filming three years ago, you probably wouldn’t recognize it today. There is a new director, all-new writers and even the title changed once during the filming of the movie. And if you are thinking this is your average Jack and the Beanstalk tale, you would be wrong.
You will hear the famous line, “Fe fi fo fum,” there is a magic beanstalk and there is a character named Jack, but that might be the end of the similarities.
The film follows Jack as he attempts to save a princess from the clutches of giants and to save his kingdom down below from destruction from the giants above. His problems are even more compounded when the king gets upset about his daughter being saved and falling in love with a simple farm boy. And Jack has to worry about Stanley Tucci’s character, who plays the right-hand man to the king but has plans of his own to take over power.
Is this a movie you are going to go see? It seems to be following the path of other movies about fairy tales making their own plots or following the characters after the plot has ended. Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters did it and so did the new Wizard of Oz movie, which follows the storyline of Oz before Dorothy ever leaves Kansas.
Jimmy Kimmel Live: Gold Fields Black Sun Review
Gold Fields will be Jimmy Kimmel’s musical guest on February 27 2013. The electro/new wave/neo-rock band from Australia recently played their first American show and critics have fallen in love with their sound. Even though two of the members in the band are in their first band ever, all of them say they are ready to keep touring and make the best music they can for as long as they can.
They will be playing a song from their newest album Black Sun.
