Jimmy Kimmel Live: Matthew Fox In Emperor
Although Matthew Fox is probably best known for his role as Jack Shepherd on Lost, Fox may be making a name for himself in the new Peter Webber directed movie, Emperor. Fox plays General Bonner Fellers, the army general who had to decide whether the emperor of Japan should be hung for war crimes after the nation surrendered at the end of World War II.
The movie also stars Tommy Lee Jones as General Douglas MacArthur, the army general who could start a war in Japan if the wrong decision is made and the emperor is killed without any evidence of why he should be hung.
Although the beginning of the year is not always the time when Oscar-worthy movies are being released, many critics are saying the acting is impeccable and the attention to historical details in the movie is admirable.
Jimmy Kimmel Live: Matthew Fox World War Z
The new zombie movie, World War Z, is going to be hitting the big screen this summer, but not without any setbacks of course. Although the film is one of the most talked about films this year, it almost didn’t make it through filming when financing for the movie fell flat and emergency finances where somehow acquired.
With the movie now back on it’s feet and finishing up filming, it looks like Matthew Fox will be able to add another blockbuster movie to his resume, although there is still no word about what role he will be playing in the movie.
Jimmy Kimmel Live: Matthew Fox Weight Loss
A lot of people had no idea Matthew Fox was actually the antagonist in the movie Alex Cross, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Fox had to lose 40 pounds to play the role and he didn’t do it by running a few miles every day.
Matthew Fox said it took about five months and a specialist helped him lose the weight. The expert made a program for him with a nutritional program and workout program rolled into one. All the workouts were about one to two hours long with zero rest and Fox also did a lot of cardio by himself when he felt he needed to lose more weight.
For the nutritional program, the expert would send him the food he needed to eat and he could see the pounds coming off after a few weeks. Although he did lose so much weight, his metabolism was accepting of the calories going into his body, said Fox. Fox said he felt great during filming although he could also feel his body shutting down at times when it was close to the regimented times he would eat.
