Jimmy Kimmel: Gordon Ramsay Opening Restaurant With David Beckham
Gordon Ramsay will add to his restaurant empire this year when he teams up with David Beckham to open a new restaurant called The Union Street Cafe. With a name like that, you wouldn’t expect the cuisine to be Mediterranean but according to new sources that is what the duo is going for. The restaurant is slated to open in September 2013.
But don’t think it will go off without a hitch somewhere. Gordon Ramsay Holdings has faced some difficult financial times in the past due to family feuds. It is probably a good thing Beckham is financing the restaurant while Ramsay stays in the kitchen cooking the food.
If the restaurant does open this year in London, it will only add one more restaurant to the growing chain of Ramsay-owned restaurants with restaurants in America, Japan, the United Kingdom and a few other countries spread across the globe.
Jimmy Kimmel Live: Gordon Ramsay Made Menu For Elton John Oscar Party
Each year Elton John taps into a new celebrity chef to make the menu for the annual Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Award Viewing Party, and this year he chose Gordon Ramsay to design the menu for him.
On the menu at the party, Ramsay came up with some delicious dishes like chilled Dungeness crab, cauliflower celeriac soup, beef short ribs, roasted red snapper with jasmine fruit rice, roasted beet and goat cheese salad and sticky toffee sweet pudding cake for the dessert. And those were only the main course meals. Ramsay also came up with numerous other appetizers and hors d’oeuvres, all of which were prepared by Crumble Catering.
Must be nice to just have to come up with the menu and not make any of the food.
Jimmy Kimmel Live: Hell’s Kitchen Season 11 Premiere
On March 12 2013, Gordon Ramsay is going to be back in the kitchen screaming at 20 new chefs to “get out” as he oversees the 11th season of Hell’s Kitchen. This year, critics are saying Ramsey has his hands full with an almost incompetent group of men and a few women who are really gunning for a win and the $250,000 salary that comes along with it.
There is also a new twist this season. The chefs will be cooking in front of a live audience of 2,500 people.
