The Good Morning America cast replayed the tearful reunion August 22, 2012 between a Leukemia survivor and her bone marrow donor. Lara Spencer said there was an huge response on Twitter, but not as overwhelming as the results on bethematch.com.
A typical day sees about 300 people registering to be a bone marrow donor, but yesterday brought in 1233 new registrants.
The cast expressed how thankful they were to everyone who signed up.
