GMA: Robin Roberts’ Absence Explained

On Good Morning America April 18 2013 and there was still no sign of Lara Spencer or Robin Roberts. Today, they explained where Robin Roberts has been, though. Last week, she came back from vacation feeling under the weather, but she saw her doctor and she’s fine now, resting at home. She’s hoping to be better in time for next week. I know we all wish her the best. Amy Robach was on the show today in her place.

As for Lara Spencer, I’m just going to go ahead and assume she’s on vacation, too, although I think it’s weird they haven’t mentioned anything on the show about where she’s been. Meanwhile, Rachel Smith filled in for Lara Spencer and coincidentally, today was Rachel Smith’s birthday. Everyone wished her a happy one while she waved them away and said they should move on. Does Rachel Smith hate birthdays or was she just embarrassed? It’s hard to say.
