Good Morning America: High School Glam Yearbook Photos
Senior photography is not what it used to be. The days of sitting in a chair and having your hair so high it gets cut out of the shot are long behind us. Now, senior portraits are like mini episodes of America’s Next Top Model.
Photographers specialize in making high school seniors look like Taylor Swift in Vanity Fair. The seniors personalize their shots with pets, instruments, runway clothes and football fields. It’s all a contest to have the best wallet photo in on your grandma’s fridge.
Brittni Schroeder is exclusively a high school photographer. Her photography business became about giving high school girls the glam experience. Her clients said that it’s all about who they are and how far they’ve come over the last four years. They get a two-hour glam session and then private photography. Students bring in guitars, pets, cars, motorcycles, and musical instruments that define who they are now.
GMA: Magazine Style Senior Portraits Cost Up to $2,000
In-school senior photos have a personal touch as well. Prestige is a photography studio that caters to seniors across the country. They strongly encourage personalization in the photos. Students are allowed to bring outfit changes, props, and choose special backdrops for their photos. Guys and girls are getting into the glammed out senior portrait trends. But they pay in the pocket, with some sessions and packages costing up to $2,000.
Schroeder said that these senior portraits give kids memories and something to feel good about. Can you really put a price on confidence? Yes, you can and it’s expensive. But the memories and time capsule of who you were in high school last a lifetime.
