Good Morning America: Betty White at the DNC & Pippa Middleton Pop News
It may be a gloomy day in NYC, but the Good Morning America team still brought the best and brightest in entertainment news on Tuesday, September 4 2012. Let’s get started with some of the top entertainment headlines of the morning.
GMA: Betty White at DNC Petition
Last year, a successful Facebook petition helped now 90-year-old actress Betty White nab her first Saturday Night Live hosting gig. Now, Betty’s more politically-minded fans are hoping to see her on another stage: under the bright lights at the Democratic National Convention.
Is Betty White interested in politics? I’m not sure. However, it would be pretty cool to see the talented Golden Girl have her moment with the POTUS; if Clint Eastwood can do it, so can she!
GMA: Dwayne Johnson Stops Robbery
Needless to say, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is definitely someone that you wouldn’t want to mess with. It seems as if some British thieves feel the exact same way: Dwayne recently scared off a bunch of men attempting to steal movie equipment from vans parked outside the set of his new film, The Fast and Furious 6. Dwayne was in costume with a fake FBI badge at the time, although, with one look at the six-foot-five actor, the robbers would have probably run away regardless.
GMA: Pippa Middleton in NYC
The Duchess of Cambridge had her time in the States last summer, and now it’s royal sister-in-law Pippa Middleton’s turn. Pippa is spending time in New York City and the Hamptons, and has been spotted wining and dining at an exclusive resort in Shelter Island. A cell phone picture caught her looking chic, as always.
GMA: Gangnam Style Parody
Parody videos seem to be all the rage these days, from Olympians to college sports teams. Now, the University of Oregon’s Duck mascot is getting in on the fun with his own parody of the Korean pop song “Gangnam Stye.” In the video, the duck can be seen lounging in a leather chair and dancing on a dock. Looks like fun?
