British-Irish boy band The Wanted performed for GMA’s Summer Concert Series “Party in the Park” August 24, 2012.

The boys opened by singing their hit “Chasing the Sun” for a roaring crowd of fans. Good Morning America’s Sam Champion introduced the members of the band, Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran.

Pepsi Fan Favorite Question: What Surprises The Wanted About the US?

GMA’s Lara Spencer asked the band the Pepsi Fan Favorite Question, “What surprises you the most about the US?”

“The food portions, size, are much bigger than the UK,” Parker said.

Siva Kaneswaran was impressed with America’s patriotic displays.

“You’ve got flags, so many American flags everywhere,” Kaneswaran. “So patriotic, it’s really nice to see.”

The Wanted is Triple Platinum, Nominated for MTV VMA

GMA’s Sam Champion praised the band on their more than three million copies of the song, “Glad You Came,” that were sold in the US. The band then held up their framed triple platinum poster.

The Wanted is nominated for an MTV Video Music Award, up against Carly Rae Jepson, Frank Ocean, One Direction, and fun.

Champion and Spencer asked the crowd who should win, and Parker asked them to vote for The Wanted. Champion also asked the band who they thought should win.

“The Wanted of course!” Parker said.

The Wanted finished by performing their triple platinum hit song, “Glad You Came,” followed by “All Time Low” and “Lightning.”
