Macy’s has teamed up again with the Make a Wish Foundation to help them raise money. The fifth annual Macy’s Believe Campaign was kicked off on Good Morning America about a week ago and Josh Elliott wanted to make sure some letters got to Santa. He headed over to the ice skating rink where he let children write letters to Santa. He then took all the letters to the Macy’s mailbox at GMA and slipped them inside.

Letters To Santa: Make a Wish Foundation

For every stamped letter to Santa slipped in any of the mailboxes located in Macy’s around the country, Macy’s will donate $1 and up to $1 million to the Make a Wish Foundation. And with 177,825 letters already received, the campaign is on its way to hitting one million very soon.

Elliott also talked with Santa who said he was embarking on trip around the country, visiting 26 different cities between November 24 and Christmas.

Good Morning America: Gary Clark Jr Performs

Good Morning America watched as the next Jimi Hendrix, Gary Clark Jr, played for them inside.

Clark, who is said to be admired by President Obama, Eric Clapton, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, has been playing guitar since he was 12 years old. He got the guitar over his Christmas break and headed straight to the library where he picked up some books on playing the guitar. Every since that day, Clark has been playing guitar, singing and writing songs.

About the author

After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Journalism and Anthropology, I managed a pizza place for a year, while freelancing for various newspapers in the area. Working every weekend in sauna like conditions, never being able to take a day off and being covered in flour is something I will not miss. I hope Recapo has air conditioning.
