GMA: Chazz Palminteri The Oogieloves
Chazz Palminteri, known for his role in movies like The Usual Suspects and A Bronx Tale, is changing things up a bit by staring in The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure as Milky Marvin.
“Milky Marvin runs the diner where one of the balloons where they have to go get, I’m holding one of the balloons and they have to come and get it,” Palminteri said. “We have a contest, who can drink a milkshake the fastest, whoever wins gets one of the balloons and one of these guys wins and they get the balloon.”
The Oogieloves: Goobie, Zoozie and Toofie’s Balloon Hunt
The movie also stars Goobie, Zoozie and Toofie (really, I couldn’t make up better names if I tried). GMA’s Josh Elliott showed a clip of the movie before asking Palminteri what the movie is all about.
“What happens is they come to me and they get the second balloon,” Palminteri said. “They have to get five balloons and bring them back for the whole thing to work.”
GMA: Palminteri Loves Children’s Movies
Elliott asked Palminteri what drew him to the film.
“I love doing kids’ movies,” Palminteri said. “I’ve done Stuart Little and Lady and the Tramp and I have young children. My daughter is 10, my son is older, my son Dante is 16 and Gabriella is 10. My wife really, really loves kids movies.”
Good Morning America: The Oogieloves is Family Friendly
Elliott said that this will be an interactive movie with a loud theatre, and that his four-year-old daughter is always singing at the TV screen.
“The great thing about the movie is that is has no death, no killing,” Palminteri said. “Some of the Disney movies are great but sometimes the kids get a little sad. This is really for kids two to eight years old, really to see this because it’s about fun and it’s about just being a kid which I thought was really good.”
