“You are so lucky, you know this already, to have the amazing Roberts family to get you through this, and you have the viewers and all of the fans,” GMA executive producer Tom Cibrowski said. “But you have a third family, they’re all around you. We have put together a beautiful book of messages for you because your messages are so strong for us. So each and every day, I hope there are a few of them, before you’re back you can read our messages to you. We will be with you every step of the way, we are Team Robin as is everyone.”

Robin was thrilled to see the handwritten messages.

“Robin has helped so many people behind us through so many challenges in life,” Cibrowski said.

Robin said she was going to take the book with her and read each and every word.

Save Lids to Save Lives Campaign

“Robin, you’ve been such an inspiration to so many of us,” McBride said. “It’s inspired me to keep doing things to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. I’m teaming up with General Mills for their Save Lids to Save Lives campaign.”

McBride explained that in September, 20 General Mills items will have pink lids, and you can either cut them off and send them in or enter a code online, and they’ll donate 10 cents for every lid, up to $2.5 million.

Robin told McBride how much she enjoyed being in the music video for “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.” She asked the singer how her song has helped others.

“I just hear so many stories about how this is their story and they’ve just taken ownership of the song and I feel like I’m singing it for so many people,” McBride said.
