GMA: Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth Split

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth seem to have split. Miley isn’t wearing her ring, and he’s on a different continent. Larry Hackett said she’s done a great job transforming from a Disney kid star to a young woman.

GMA: Spanx vs. Real Housewife Heather Thompson

Real Housewives of New York cast member Heather Thompson, founder of Yummie Tummie, is claiming Sara Blakely, founder of Spanx, ripped off several of her designs and violated its patents. The dispute is all about the Yummie Tummie Slimming Tank, which Heather Thompson claims Spanx ripped off. Heather Thompson’s lawyers wrote a cease and desist letter to Sara Blakely and Thompson posted a letter on her website to Blakely. “I needed to write it down, woman to woman, how I feel about this.”

At this point, I would just like to point out that it is no longer “woman to woman” when you post the letter on your website. It is also no longer “woman to woman” when you talk to GMA about it. A Spanx company spokesperson said “Spanx has not infringed on any valid patent and we will continue to make fabulous products for our loyal fans.” Spanx’s lawyers also filed papers to decide the matter in court.

GMA: Deals & Steals

GMA had plenty of deals and steals on their website. First up was the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Americano machine, which normally goes for $206, but it’s only $72 on the site. Then, there was the Babycakes Pie Maker or Cake Pop Maker, normally going for $30-45, but slashed down to $15-21 dollars. These machines allow you to make cupcakes right at home.

Next up was a 12 piece cooking set from Glit, normally $240, slashed in half at $99 and with free shipping. The Stationary Studio’s personalized cards to write thank you and love notes are regularly $66-166, depending on the set you choose, but were slashed to $30-50.
