Tom Bergeron, host of Dancing with the Stars, was on Good Morning America all morning March 15 2013. Elizabeth Vargas asked him who his favorite was in the cast. He said he hasn’t seen them in action yet, not even in a rehearsal. He did say though that he’d heard that comedian Andy Dick was much better at dancing than anyone expected. He also said that he thought the cast was bonding really well, something that could be seen even when they first announced the cast on GMA in February. He said Wynonna Judd was a good addition, too, because they haven’t had raw fear on the show in a while.

GMA: Tom Bergeron Andy Dick Friends

Tom Bergeron and Andy Dick are friends. Bergeron said he and Andy Dick starred in a movie together called Rock Slyde. He said that you could see it at three in the morning on Showtime “after the ShamWow spot.” In the clip for the movie, Tom Bergeron read his lines in a very robotic way. “You disappeared into the part,” Josh Elliott said.

GMA: Tom Bergeron Elizabeth Vargas Co-Hosting GMA

Elizabeth Vargas and Tom Bergeron have a past connection, too. In 1997, for reasons no one explained, the two were co-hosts of GMA for one episode. Tom Bergeron’s hair was dark brown and Elizabeth Vargas commented that she hadn’t yet discovered waxing her eyebrows because they looked like “caterpillars” above her eyes. Tom Bergeron said that was too much information. Elizabeth Vargas said that she thought they both were rocking 1970s haircuts even though it was 1997. They also basically had the same haircut. As he was leaving, he asked if Elizabeth Vargas would burn the tapes of them. She said, “Honey, they’re on fire right now.”
