Seth Rogen: This Is The End Apocalyptic Comedy Review
This Is The End sets up the end of the world, as told by actors. After a wild night of partying at James Franco’s house, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel and more hilarious guys are barricaded in the Hollywood home. They all want to leave and go to Seth Rogen’s house because it would be horrible to die at James Franco’s pad. Understandable.
Seth Rogen & James Franco Play Weird in This Is The End
Co-writer, co-producer, co-star of the new comedy This Is The End, Seth Rogen said that getting the funds to pay for this apocalyptic comedy wasn’t easy. He said that getting people to finance original projects, like this one, is difficult. Thankfully, it happened. The idea really is genius and we get to see Emma Watson beat the guys up to get the last of their beer. Rogen said that the actors playing over the top versions of themselves made the production companies come running with cash after they got started.
“We all play the dumbest, worst versions of ourselves, basically,” Rogen laughed. He said that James Franco especially got weirder with his art and free flowing ideas of love making. They even cracked jokes at themselves and their failed projects. Thankfully, Guilt Trip wasn’t on the table for Rogen but The Green Hornet jokes did sting, he said.
Rihanna Fights Michael Cera in This Is The End
Rihanna and Michael Cera have a fight in the film. Cera plays “Bad Michael Cera” and does a lot of drugs and it just a jerk. “Rihanna smacks the crap out of him,” Rogen said.
Rogen said that getting to boss around his friends was really enjoyable. They had to listen to him and he made them do some seriously dumb stuff. Honestly, this film looks like it will either be genius or a huge flop. I’m leaning toward genius.
This Is The End is now playing nationwide.
