Michael Strahan from Live! With Kelly And Michael covered the red carpet at the Oscars for the first time and told Good Morning America all about it February 25 2013. He said the first person he talked to was Robin Roberts, who made him feel comfortable, and after her the rest of it was a lot easier.

Michael Strahan is a huge Adele fan, and he said he was really excited to talk to her. He said he joked with her about singing with her. He asked if he could sing her music to her, because he sang it all the time. She laughed at him while he sang which he said was a good thing, because she wasn’t mad at him and didn’t hit him.

Michael Strahan: Covering the Super Bowl vs the Oscars

Michael Strahan also covered the Super Bowl and said that it was a lot different because it was athletes and just a few celebrities. The Oscars is “like the Super Bowl for the movies.” He said that at the Oscars, you see a lot of people you only see in magazines or the movie theater. He said he had to think quickly to be able to talk to them all.

He said that it also surprised him that the Oscar nominees weren’t nervous.

Michael Strahan: Favorite Oscar Moments

Michael Strahan said he was very happy for Christoph Waltz for his win for Best Supporting Actor in Django Unchained. He said that it was a very tough category and it was very impressive that Christolph Waltz was able to accomplish that win.
