GMA: Live! with Kelly & Michael
Strahan has been on Live! for five months now. He is fitting in well with the already established Kelly Ripa after her longtime co-host Regis Philbin retired.
Strahan’s week is a fast paced, always going schedule. He shoots Live! Monday through Friday in New York and then flies to California to tape the pregame show on NFL Sunday. He said that his week is never boring because Michael Gelman, the producer of Live!, is constantly switching things up.
GMA: Michael Strahan NFL Hall of Fame Career
When asked what was easier, football or television, Strahan said television. It’s a different kind of fun that doesn’t always revolve around sports. He explained that the career of a football player is usually to play football as long as you can and then, if you are lucky, you get to retire and talk about football for the rest of your life. Strahan is breaking the mold by going to daytime television and not SportsCenter.
GMA had a blast with Strahan and asked whether he would make it into the NFL Hall of Fame. He said that he feels too young to be in the Hall of Fame just yet, but if he did he said he would probably cry during his speech. He played to be the best he could and for the love of the game.
GMA: Kelly Ripa On Michael Strahan
While Strahan made a mad dash back to the Live! studio, GMA called Kelly Ripa to talk about her costar. She called Strahan “the greatest gift ever to morning television.” She said that he is game for anything, funny and always making her smile. It was clear that Strahan makes people fall in love with him immediately.
