GMA: Katherine Heigl Just One Pet Products
Actress Katherine Heigl stopped by Good Morning America February 11 2013 to talk about a line of pet products called Just One. Katherine Heigl said she and her mother started the foundation in her brother’s name, called the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation.
Katherine Heigl said there are so many pets are euthanized every day and the shelter system is so bad, that she wanted to try to solve the problem. The foundation was set up to help pets and to fix the shelter system, but Katherine Heigl said they were running out of money, so they made a line of products to help fund the foundation.
Katherine Heigl said that her mother came up with the foundation and it was her idea to name the foundation after Katherine’s brother. She said that her brother died when he was 16 and wasn’t able to have a legacy of his own, so this foundation was named after him because he cared so much about pets.

Viola Davis said she was surprised when she discovered her character was a maid and felt like it was redundant for her to play a maid after The Help and that her character needed to be integrated into the life of this family, in a way that wasn’t servitude.
Good Morning America: Beautiful Creatures Review
Viola Davis said she thought it was an important message for young girls as well that this movie is about a young woman taking fate into her own hands and not letting the past define her future. Viola Davis said the only thing that would’ve made this better is if she had a cape and could fly.
Her character also had scarification on her back, which is something women do in tribal communities. Viola Davis said she thought it was a nice touch to make her otherworldly.
