After making a big splash in the modeling world by signing with IMG, a modeling agency, the six foot two inch blonde bombshell said she will be following in her mother’s footsteps and she knows there will bumps along the way.

In an overnight post on her social media pages, Baldwin went after her critics writing, “I understand that I am not a size .008. What I don’t fully understand is the good in commenting on a photo of a 17-year-old girl and calling her fat, ugly, etc.? Is that helping you in some way? I’m confused.”

She also called many of the messages she was getting via the internet “hateful and unhealthy.”

It was only five short years ago that a voice mail from Alec Baldwin leaked on the internet, a voice mail where he calls his daughter Ireland a, “thoughtless little pig.” She has been able to move the past the comment and wrote on her social media pages she doesn’t want to be known as that ever again but that her father has made mistakes in the past and he has been able to move past them, asking of her critics, “why can’t you?”

Ireland also wrote in her post that she is trying to find her own identity and trying to find her own way. She doesn’t want anyone holding her back from that.

Good thing she has Kim Basinger as a mother then, saying the best advice her mother has ever given her was to stand up for herself. But don’t confuse the advice with a new way of living for Ireland. The one thing she wrote in all caps in the post was “I am not my parents.”
