Things are looking up for cookbook author Gwyneth Paltrow, who is starring in Iron Man 3, coming to theaters in May. Plus, People just named her the Most Beautiful Woman. GMA also chatted with Pain & Gain star Anthony Mackie.

GMA: Gwyneth Paltrow Iron Man 3

Paltrow is reprising her role as Pepper in Iron Man 3. “I think she’s wonderful. I love playing her,” she said, saying the character is even more fun in this installment, because she gets to wear the suit.

Her son was impressed with her mother’s latest stunts in the role. The movie picks up after The Avengers, and Paltrow said Pepper and Tony’s relationship is central to the story.

“I think for women especially, they will enjoy this film the most,” she predicted, adding that she loves working with co-star Robert Downey Jr.


Iron Man 3 is in theaters on May 3 2013.

Good Morning America: It’s All Good Review

Paltrow put together a cookbook, It’s All Good, encouraging people to eat well and cook for their families. She called it “clean, healthy, delicious food that doesn’t taste healthy.”

She said she likes to do about one movie a year, working around her family’s schedule. She has time to pursue her lifestyle interests and other hobbies while her children are at school.

She recalled that her first celebrity crush was Keanu Reeves, and said that love is the secret to beauty. Her guilty pleasure is French fries or “anything fried.” As for fashion missteps, she said fringe was at the top of the list.

Good Morning America: Anthony Mackie

From the new movie Pain & Gain, action comedy star Anthony Mackie was on GMA to talk about the movie, based on a true story. Bodybuilders decided to cash in by stealing from others. Mackie said that he had never heard the story before reading the script.

Mackie plays Adrian, whom he said is “the grounding force of the group,” who is after the American dream, not the splashy lifestyle.

GMA: Pain & Gain Review

Spoiler alert: the real life inspiration for the character is now on death row. Mackie ended up not talking to the man his character was based on.

Mackie also starred in movies like Gangster Squad, The Hurt Locker, and The Adjustment Bureau. He said he is best known for his work in 8 Mile, even around the world in Germany.

Next up, he has the Captain America sequel, and he is playing the Falcon. Pain & Gain is in theaters April 26 2013.
