GMA: Former Vogue Editor Writes Tell-All
Good Morning America reported that former Australian Vogue editor Kirstie Clements has written a new tell-all book called The Vogue Factor about the lengths models go to in order to maintain their weight. Some models, she says in the book, result to eating tissues to stave off hunger pangs and claims that one even visited the hospital six months out of the year, using hospital drips in place of food. Kristie Clements was fired from Vogue last year, but she said this is not a revenge novel. She told GMA she just thought it was honest.
GMA: Michelle Obama Doesn’t Like Her Bangs
GMA claimed in this story that Michelle Obama originated the bangs craze, but I’m going to have to disagree. I always thought it was Zooey Deschanel everyone was trying to copy. After all, she has more followers on Twitter than the First Lady. But I digress.
Michelle Obama recently said in an interview that her bangs are more high maintenance than she expected and now the big story is whether bangs are a hair “don’t.” The hair experts all said that bangs can look great, but they’re a lot more work than they seem. That’s why the Butterfly Bang Bar at the Butterfly Studio Salon was created. They offer clip-on bangs that come in a variety of styles and colors and it looked very convincing on correspondent Linsey Davis.
GMA: Carrie Underwood Giving Up Music Career?
Larry Hackett, managing editor of People magazine, came by GMA to talk about the headlines. First up was Carrie Underwood, who has said that she is so committed to her marriage that she would give up her music career if her husband ever asked her to.
GMA: First Woman In the NBA?
There may be a woman in the NBA soon. The Mavericks have said they may pick Brittney Griner or have her come in for a summer tryout. Larry Hackett said that whether she goes to the NBA or not, she’s a star. Robin Roberts said that she thinks Brittney Griner is very talented and that she definitely has a chance. But she said she didn’t think she could make it in the NBA, even if she thinks Brittney Griner has a shot. Josh Elliott said she absolutely deserves a shot.
