GMA: Adele Oscar Win For “Skyfall”
One of the best moments from the Oscars was Adele’s performance of “Skyfall,” which ended up winning the gold for Best Original Song. Even though Adele was the obvious frontrunner for the award, it was a great moment to see her perform the song. I think the oddest thing about “Skyfall” is that it sounds like a James Bond song. I’m not sure how someone manages to create a new song that sounds like a James Bond song after so many movies and songs. It must be tricky.
Still, Adele’s performance was extraordinary, made all the more extraordinary by how stunned Adele herself seemed to be after winning the award. She got so emotional during her acceptance speech that she turned it over to Paul Epworth, the co-writer of the song, to continue the speech.
She sat down with George Stephanopoulos at the Oscars to talk about winning the award.
GMA: Adele’s New Baby
Adele had a baby recently, and she told George Stephanopoulos that after she had her child, she thought that there would be a slow down period. She said that it turned out that this year was just as crazy as last year. She said it’s been incredible.
Adele said that she couldn’t get over how amazing America has been to her. She said that when she got back to her dressing room, she thought about how dismal her life could’ve been, but instead it turned out amazing.
GMA: Adele New Album
Adele said that right now, she wants to be a mother. But she said she did know the sound of her next album and she said it would be a low more raw than her last. While talking about it with George Stephanopoulos, Daniel Day-Lewis walked by and Adele charmingly said, “Oh my God, Daniel Day-Lewis won! Fabulous!”
