Good Morning America: New Cyndi Lauper Memoir
Cyndi Lauper, the singer who has topped the charts numerous times with singles like “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and “Time After Time,” has written a book about her life titled Cyndi Lauper: Memoir. The book is a detailed account of her life on the road and the ups and downs of being an international star. Good Morning America said the book was very candid and honest. Lauper said after all the things she has seen and been through in her life, it was redeeming to write the book.

Lauper said it was a pleasure to know many young artists, such as Nicki Minaj, looked up to Lauper and found her to an inspiration to them. Lauper said it went both ways, that she often found inspiration in the young artists making music today.
Good Morning America: Memphis Blues Review & Mad About You
Good Morning America talked to Lauper about her acting career and her newest album, Memphis Blues, a blues album she made with collaborators and special guests including B.B. King and Allen Toussaint. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2012 and rated the 7th best album of 2010 by the New York Post.
Lauper also talked about her extensive TV appearances, the highlight being on the show Mad About You, in which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. She was very humble on Good Morning America, saying her performance was all due to the writers and directors on the show. Cyndi Lauper will be back on the TV screen with her new reality show called Cyndi, Still So Unusual.
