Jewel, the four time grammy nominated singer and songwriter, who wrote the songs “You Were Meant For Me” and “Who Will Save Your Soul,” said she has been having a blast taking some time away from recording to spend it with her husband and her baby boy Kase.


Jewel said the marriage to her husband Ty Murray, a professional rodeo cowboy, has been like Christmas every day. Jewel said every day is like getting a new present to unwrap and find something wonderful inside.

Jewel also said she would never get a nanny for her son because she has worked so hard for all the money she has and she wants to be able to spend it on her son and be able to spend time with him anytime she wants.

Good Morning America: That’s What I’d Do Review

Jewel told Good Morning America, spending time with her family has also offered her the leisure of writing a children’s book with a CD of her singing to accompany the book. The book, titled¬†That’s What I’d Do, is one her son’s favorite books. Jewel also mentioned her son is finally starting to realize the voice coming from the CD is his mother’s voice.

Jewel said although she is a singer, songwriter, actress, published author and many other things, her number role in life is being a mother to Kase.
