Lawsuit Against 24-Hour Makeup
Have you ever been too tired to take off your makeup at night? You think to yourself, “It’s a 24-hour makeup. I’ll be fine to get up and go in the morning.” Wrong. You wake up and you look like a raccoon. Or your pillow is covered in flakes from your mascara.
One woman is suing Lancome, who promise a 24-hour solution. GMA put some of this makeup to the test to see if it truly has 24-hour staying power.
Lancome Teint Passes 24-Hour Makeup Test
The makeup tested was Lancome Teint, which was the product in the lawsuit. They put the makeup on just before bed, slept in it and went in to get on-camera makeup done the next day. The makeup had stayed on the face and her pillow was still snowy white. The makeup artist for the show noted that her face looked great and she just needed a touch up on the eyes.
The thing is that makeup is not meant to sleep in. You should wash your face in the morning and night. The makeup has staying power, but that does not mean that it should stay.
