Ellen: Salma Hayek’s Daughter
Salma Hayek and Ellen haven’t seen each other for at least five years, which is the age of her daughter Valentina. She said her daughter is an expert with languages and accents. She can imitate her mother, father and British teacher. She’s fluent in English, Spanish and French. Hayek can’t speak French and she’s been living in France for years.
Hayek said Valentina is a huge animal rights fan. Her school brought in Jane Goodall and they had a fundraiser for chimpanzees. Since then, Valentina relates everything in how many chimps could they save. It’s made shopping hard for Hayek.
Ellen: Salma Hayek’s Ranch
Hayek’s ranch sounds more like a zoo. She has five horses, eight dogs, a hamster, five parrots, two fish, two alpacas, rabbits, turkeys and chickens. She had bought just two parrots but then they bred. She was barely able to rattle off the all of the animals.
She got into some trouble when she tried to rescue what she thought was a dog in the woods in New Mexico. She said it was very small, hairless and had a lot of skin problems. She called the vet when it wouldn’t socialize with her other dogs a few months later. The vet told her she had rescued a fox.
Ellen: Nuance Review – Salma Hayek Beauty Products
For years, Hayek said she wanted to start her own beauty line. She got the idea from her grandmother, who used her own tricks and things she learned from Native Americans to create creams and oils. Hayek took those recipes and got the best ingredients at an affordable price. NUANCE was born after 10 years of careful planning.
Ellen decided to give her audience each $100 worth of NUANCE products if Hayek could guess 10 animal sounds correctly. Although the sounds all sounded alike, she got chicken, money, horse, pig, seal, elephant, parrot, donkey, cow and sheep. Guess the ranch/zoo is coming in handy after all.
