Ellen: Mario Lopez Just Between Us
We all know Mario Lopez from his days on Saved by the Bell, when he was known as A.C. Slater and competing with Zach Morris for the affections of Kelly Kapowski. In fact, those characters were so iconic I remember all of their names without having seen the show since I was 9 or 10.
These days, Mario Lopez is the host of Extra and celebrating the release of his brand new memoir Just Between Us, which lets us into the life of the actor known for his physique and his dimples. It goes into the ups and downs of his career and details his super steamy love life.
Expect Ellen to be pressing him for every little tidbit and also to play a game with the star. In the preview for this episode, it also looked like Mario might be Ellen’s DJ for the day, which would be pretty exciting. Either way, make sure to check it out!
Ellen: Ma’ake & Chris Kemoeatu
Then it’s onto the inspirational story for the day, which this time focuses on two NFL players, Ma’ake and Chris Kemoueatu, who also happen to be brothers. The brothers are both Super Bowl champions who put their family in front of everything else.
Both brothers had successful careers when Chris learned he needed a kidney to survive. Ma’ake decided to retire in order to give his brother his kidney and save his life.
Get the tissues ready, because this one is sure to be a tearjerker of an amazing story! Plus, will Ellen ask them about the recent controversies in the NFL with domestic violence?
Be sure to tune in October 2, 2014 to find out all about this and so much more!
