Kicking off Ellen’s show, Jennifer Aniston comes out for a talk about life and work. Aniston and Ellen have been gal pals for years. They lived near each other and both have a huge love for animals. Maybe her friendship with Ellen will coax out the truth behind the Friends reunion?
Call Me Crazy is collection of five short films interwoven to tell stories about struggling with mental illness. Aniston, Alicia Keys, Demi Moore, Patty Jenkins and Penelope Spheeris directed the first Five in 2011. This new set of films gives viewers family drama and a variety of mental disorders that people struggle with on a daily basis. From diagnosis to treatment to living life as normally as possible, Call Me Crazy hopes to tell different sides and encourage acceptance of mental illness.
Ellen: Bryce Dallas Howard Five Films
The daughter of Hollywood royalty Ron Howard, Bryce Dallas Howard directs the main tale in Call Me Crazy, Lucy. Lucy is about a law student who is diagnosed with schizophrenia. She goes into treatment and finds a support system. Lucy looks toward a fruitful future after a devastating diagnosis.
Ellen: Brittany Snow Call Me Crazy: A Five Film
Brittany Snow plays Lucy in Call Me Crazy. Also starring in the film are Jennifer Hudson, Sarah Hyland, Melissa Leo and Octavia Spencer. Snow plays the devastated law student who navigates inpatient and outpatient treatment.
Snow will also get grilled on the upcoming sequel to Pitch Perfect. The most buzzed about movie of 2012 was just greenlit for a sequel this week.
