Ellen: Diane Keaton And So It Goes

Diane Keaton has had one heck of a career. As the clever and endearing Annie Hallshe charmed us and broke our hearts. Interesting fact: Diane Keaton isn’t her real name. Her real name is Diane Hall and her friends called her Annie. That’s not a joke. That’s the name she was born with. So when her ex-boyfriend Woody Allen was writing, directing, and starring in a movie about their relationship, it was only natural that Diane Keaton played the character of Annie Hall, which was based on her and shared her birth name. Now, that’s meta. Annie Hall takes on the moniker of Diane Keaton to play a character named Annie Hall.

But her career, of course, doesn’t begin and end with Annie Hall, the part she was born to play and earned her an Oscar for Best Actress. In Something’s Got To Give she gave an awesome performance in a movie where everyone was constantly switching partners. Then, of course, there was Manhattan and The First Wives ClubNow, she’s coming by Ellen’s show to talk about her new project And So It Goes, an upcoming romantic comedy costarring Michael Douglas. Plus, she’s got a new book out called Let’s Just Say It Wasn’t Pretty, a memoir where she talks about her career and being a style icon.

Ellen: Taylor Kitsch The Grand Seduction

Taylor Kitsch, who thrilled us in Friday Night Lightswill be swinging by to talk about his new movie The Grand Seduction. Of course, he also impressed many comic book fans with a stellar performance as Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverinein an otherwise not-so-good movie, a role he apparently will not be reprising since recent news hit that Channing Tatum, of all people, is taking over the role, which is possibly the worst casting choice in history. But I digress. Taylor Kitsch will be talking all about his career on the show, so you won’t want to miss Ellen on May 23, 2014!

Ellen: Jason Mraz

Jason Mraz will also be performing on Ellen. The Grammy-winning artist will be performing a new song, but it’s not clear which one. Tune in to find out!
