In fact, on a recent episode, she spent the majority of a segment talking about it. This was after it even happened.

Ellen: Ashton Kutcher On Two And A Half Men

Charlie Sheen had been on the show Two And A Half Men since its premiere. When he left the show, it shocked everyone. Previously, Jon Cryer, who plays Alan on the show, told Ellen about how surprised he was to learn that Charlie had quit the show.

Amazingly, the show was not cancelled. Instead, it was reinvented. The writers made up a whole new character for Ashton Kutcher to play, named Walden Schmidt.

When it was announced that Ashton would essentially be replacing Charlie, Ashton was quoted as saying, “I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!”

Ellen will try her hardest to get the inside scoop about the show from Ashton. She’s going to have to try pretty hard though, since everyone involved with the show has tried especially hard to keep everything a secret.
