Ellen: Talia Has CoverGirl Ad In People
Earlier this year Ellen met a young 13-year-old girl named Talia. She told Ellen she wanted to be a makeup artist when she got older, so Ellen brought her on the show and gave her the present of a lifetime. She talked to CoverGirl for Talia and convinced them to make Talia an honorary CoverGirl.
Well, after shooting her CoverGirl ad, this month she can finally see the fruits of her labor when she opens up People to find her picture inside the magazine.
Ellen Makes a Dress Out Of Garbage
Ellen had no idea it was so easy to make clothing out of trash. After she found out her new Ellen t-shirts to celebrate Earth Day were made from 100 percent recycled garbage, she wanted to try and make her own clothing from trash, which she did.
She made a nice dress for one of the people working on the show. It included a shoe with a banana peel, a watermelon for a shoe, Doritos for a belt, lots of trash bags and a crazy top that contained more garbage than I could describe.
Ellen: Dogeared Jewelry Donates Trees
Ellen told her audience Dogeared Jewelry is going to donate a tree for every member of the audience to help restore the Atlantic Forest. Everyone also got a $150 gift certificate to use at their online store.
Ellen Visits Swisse Wellness In Australia
While in Australia last month, Ellen visited the company that sponsored her trip, Swisse Wellness, and it seemed like a surprise they would never forget. No one knew she was coming and everyone was so warm and friendly to her. One woman even told Ellen she was one of two people she has always wanted to meet. The other person was Nelson Mandela.
Ellen also went to a red carpet event while in Australia where it seemed like no one could run out of nice things to say to Ellen. One Australian actor even said this is a welcome party for Ellen, it is a welcome home party.
Check out the video of all the fun below and you can even catch another glimpse of the trash outfit as Ellen gives everyone in the audience a gift card to use at Swisse Wellness.
