Ellen: Jason Aldean “Burnin’ It Down” Performance

Lyrically, Jason Aldean’s new song “Burnin’ It Down” has everything Jason Aldean succeeds at: romanticized references to alcohol, yearning for love, and the glorification of the moment. It’s the kind of song that makes you ache for late summer fires with girls you barely know, who you want to get to know better, with maybe an acoustic guitar and some ice cold whiskey.

Just the two of you and a beautiful night, talking and playing music until late in the night. It’s not the anthem that “My Kinda Party” was and it’s not as interesting as “Dirt Road Anthem“, but it’s definitely in the ballpark and it’s Jason Aldean “just doing his thing” and loving every moment of it.
