Little Big Town: Tornado Review
Little Big Town, the band that has had one of the summer’s biggest country songs “Pontoon,” took to the stage and performed that song so many people have loved for the Summer 2012. Their new album, Tornado, was released on September 11 2012. “Pontoon” was the first single off the new album and it was Little Big Town’s first number one hit, when it hit the number one spot on the Hot Country Songs chart in September 2012. It also received the band’s first Platinum certification.
Little Big Band: Long Road To Success
Little Big Town was founded in 1998 with members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet. All four singers take the lead vocals role in the band, so this is a shared success for them. It has been a long road for them, but getting to the top feels pretty good for them they tell Ellen.
During their rise to the top, Little Big Town has gone through many ups and down. One of those ups and downs is the switching of record labels. To make it big, the group had to go through four different labels before things stuck for them. Tornado is their fifth studio album, which have produced many chart-topping hits, like “Little White Church” and “Bring It On Home.”
To cap off a great 2012 for Little Big Town, they just finished up a Summer 2012 tour with Rascal Flatts on the Changed Tour, which also featured Eli Young Band and Edens Edge. Keep an eye out for this band!
