Ellen: Katy Perry Hugs Sophia Grace
Ellen invited youtube sensation Sophia Grace and Rosie back to the show. The girls walked out in their usual tutus and sat down in the chair together.
“I should have you here everyday,” Ellen said.
“Yeah it would be so fun!” Sophia said.
The girls said they were especially happy to be on the show because Katy Perry gave them a hug back stage. They sounded almost hysterical as they told Ellen about it. Sophia said she adored the streaks of purple in Katy‘s hair.
“Purple hair–I love purple hair!” Sophia said.
Ellen prompted Sophia to talk about things she’d been learning in school.
“I understand you’re always learning something new,” Ellen said. “Now you’re learning about the planets?”
Sophia affirmed that by naming every single planet in the solar system and even explaining that Pluto is no longer considered a planet.
“If I had a planet of my own, I’d call it Pink Planet and the only people that’d be allowed is if they’re pink!” Sophia exclaimed.
Sophia continued to demonstrate her education to the audience by counting in Spanish. As impressive as all of that was, it seemed to make Rosie feel a little on the fringe, being several years younger than Sophia, and having little of any flashy knowledge to woo the crowd with. Ellen seemed to be sympathetic to how Rosie felt by making comments directly at Rosie despite that Rosie rarely spoke.
Sophia Grace & Rosie Visit Cars Land at Disneyland
The girls ran around the newest addition to the amusement park and seemed to have a great time trying out all of the rides and attractions.
“That was so GOOD!” Sophia screamed. “We had so much fun at Cars Land! Thank you, Ellen!”
At the end of the video segment, Ellen gave each of her audience members a pair of tickets to Disneyland.
Ellen: Sophia Grace & Rosie Perform Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass”
As adorable as the duo are, it was a little strange that they were allowed to sing Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.” The song, even in its edited format, has relatively explicit lyrical content and it was a little uncomfortable to hear young girls singing along to the song.
That aside, they performed the way everyone wants them to. Sophia sang the song in her adorably youthful British voice, slurring some of the words together into cute incoherent gibberish, while Rosie danced in support of her leading lady.
Ellen ran to greet the girls after their performance as the crowd thunderously applauded.
“You’re the cutest, sweetest girls in tutus I know!” Ellen said.
Ellen handed the girls two trophies. They were gold flake with pink rhinestones and had dancers in tutus on top of them.
“These are so good!” Sophia screamed. “They are BRILLIANT!”
