Ellen: Six-Year-Old Motivational Speaker Kaliah King

Ellen spoke with Kaliah King, an adorable six-year-old who spoke against bullying.

To celebrate Season 10 of Ellen, the kind-hearted host wants to give average people the spotlight on her show, not just famous celebrities. On September 19, we met an incredible young teacher who is changing the lives of her students, Rachel Faust. On September 20, Ellen introduced us to the adorable and hilarious Kaliah King, a six-year-old girl who fancies herself a motivational speaker.

Kaliah just turned six this summer, on July 23. She first made a video and posted it online when she was “three or four.” She then decided to post an inspirational speech on YouTube, during which she preached about causes like respect and courage while wearing a shower cap. Kaliah is from Nashville, Tennessee, and when she joined Ellen, she showed off how she can spell “Ellen” without even looking!

Kaliah explained that she made her video because she wants to be an actress. She comes up with things she wants to talk about from her many travels. “They just come into my head, I put it together, and then take it out!” the confident little girl revealed.

Kaliah King: Speech on Bullying

Ellen wondered if Kaliah could give a speech for the audience right there on the spot, and Kaliah happily obliged. She popped right out of her seat and went off on the perils of bullying. “Bullying is a bad thing, and you should just stop,” she said. Then she added, “This is Kaliah King and I approve this message.”

Ellen was very impressed with Kaliah’s confidence and positivity. She gave Kaliah and Ellen shower cap and outfit to wear in her next video. Plus, because she’s a big fan of Disney Princesses, Ellen sent Kaliah and her entire family to Disneyland.

Kaliah King is one little girl who is poised to take over the world!

About the author

After my childhood dream of achieving Olympic figure skating gold fell through, I moved on to Plan B: become a writer. I've been writing since I can remember, and consider myself lucky to be making a career out of it. I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2011, and since that time, I have worked as a writer, editor and blogger. Luckily for this site, my love of TV borders on obsession.
