Ellen: Rainer & Atticus Muuss Interview
The Republican National Convention was held on August 27 2012 to August 30 2012 in Tampa, FL and Ellen sent the youngest presidential experts they know to cover it, six-year-old Rainer and his brother four-year-old Atticus Muuss.
Rainer and Atticus Muuss: 2012 Republican National Convention
Ellen welcomed Rainer and Atticus Muuss back and said they always look so nice in their cute little outfits. When asked what his favorite part of the 2012 Republican National Convention was, Rainer said he liked the balloons coming down and there were more than 100,000, which he read in a newspaper.
Rainer and Atticus Muuss: At The Convention
While at the 2012 Republican National Convention, Rainer and Atticus Muuss had the chance to talk to many people. They talked with Evan Draim, a Virginia delegate, Ralph Alvarado, a Kentucky delegate and Heather Alvarez, a Georgia Delegate. Alvarez asked what they wanted to be when they grew up and Rainer said he wanted to be President when he grows up and he wants Atticus to be his Vice President. Rainer said he is running for President in 2040 and Atticus is going to run in 2048 and Van Buren is going to be Atticus’ Vice President.
They also met Scott Hamilton, an Olympic Gold Medalist, and he asked who their favorite President was and Rainer said Kennedy because he gave people hope. Scott asked if there was anything more powerful than hope and Rainer said love. That was a very cute moment and these kids are just as adorable as Sophia Grace and Rosie.

It wasn’t all business at the 2012 Republican National Convettion for Rainer and Atticus as they got to play in the play area and take pictures in the photo booth and all the other fun games. Atticus said when he is President he will give everyone cupcakes (he has my vote). They saw Mitt Romney on stage and accepting the nomination as the Republican candidate for the President of the United States.
