Ellen: Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr is one of those superwomen who seems to be doing it all. You may know her as a supermodel from Victoria’s Secret. But she’s also a businesswoman, supermom, and even an author.

Ellen DeGeneres wanted to clear something up after Miranda Kerr’s husband, Orlando Bloom, appeared on her show last year. In a clip, Ellen recalled that she and Orlando had planned to have kids together, and Orlando joked that his relationship with Miranda was a rebound after Ellen got married to Portia De Rossi.

Miranda said that Ellen is a wonderful person, and she joked that she’s happy to be second to Ellen in Orlando’s heart. Ellen said that Miranda and Orlando are both nice people.

Ellen: Miranda Kerr & Orlando Bloom Son

Talk quickly turned to the couple’s enormous baby. He was 9 pounds, 12 ounces at birth, which is shocking considering Miranda’s slight supermodel frame. “I was only 5 pound 3, so how did I make such a big baby,” she wondered. Orlando Bloom was about 8 pounds at birth, and Miranda suspects that her vitamin and nutrient habit could be responsible for their baby’s high birth weight.

Their son, Flynn, did a lot of smiling in the photos Ellen showed of him with her mother. Miranda said that she hasn’t forgotten the pain of childbirth, but the couple might be open to other children in a few years.

Ellen: Miranda Kerr Birth Weight

Miranda said her own mother still hasn’t gotten over the birth of her brother, and her mother said she doesn’t know how Miranda delivered such a large baby.

Ellen said she was a large baby, and Miranda said it’s probably best, for Ellen’s sake, that she didn’t have Orlando’s baby since it would have been enormous. I don’t really get the correlation between your birth weight and that of your offspring, so it’s maybe a good thing that I’m not a parent and have no plans to become one anytime soon.

Flynn is now 15 months old, and Ellen wondered if he takes after one of his parents more than the other.

“He definitely looks like Orlando, although he has my chubby cheeks,” she said. “But he has my cheeky personality, I think.”

Ellen said it may be too early to know for sure, but Miranda reported that he’s already a high-fiving womanizer who flirts with his eyes.

Ellen: Miranda Kerr Treasure Yourself Review

Miranda Kerr’s first book, Treasure Yourself, was a hit with both Ellen and Portia De Rossi, who reached out to Miranda after reading it.

“She said how she really enjoyed the book, and she thought it was a wonderful read,” Miranda said. “I originally wrote the book for all these young women,” she explained, noting that fans would admit they appreciated her perspectives on women’s health and wellness in interviews and articles.

She was inspired to empower young women through her writing, and Ellen pointed out the book is a huge hit around the world. It’s even been recognized by the Australian government.

Ellen said the book features positive affirmations and beautiful reflections for young women.

Ellen: Miranda Kerr Swimsuit Model Gifts

Ellen DeGeneres noted that Miranda has been modeling as a Victoria’s Secret Angel for six years. Miranda brought a gift from the company’s new swimsuit collection just for Ellen, who I can’t imagine ever wearing a bikini. It just doesn’t seem like something that would be in Ellen’s wardrobe.

In exchange, Ellen had a gift for her guest. Since Flynn is now up to 35 pounds, Ellen created something predictably insane for her. Andy Zenor rushed out onstage with a baby carrier decked out with angel wings and holsters for accessories such as makeup.

It even had a mirror so she could check her makeup or check in on her baby. That thing is ridiculous, and you have to wonder what Ellen’s guests really think of her insane custom presents.
