Ellen welcomed actress Kerry Washington and played one of her favorite songs, “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga, without even knowing! As it turns out, Kerry is a massive Lady Gaga fan. She has seen her in concert “a million times,” and even pre-ordered the new Lady Gaga perfume.

Now that Ellen knows how much Kerry loves Lady Gaga, she promised she would try to book the two stars at the same time. Kerry has never met her, so that got her pretty excited!

Kerry Washington: Democratic National Convention

Kerry Washington recently had the honor of speaking at the Democratic National Convention. She was very nervous because she felt the responsibility to do a great job. Kerry emphasized that she wasn’t there as a celebrity; she was there as an American, as a woman, as a person of color, and as someone who couldn’t have attended college without the assistance of the government. She wanted to come and support the person who she believes represents her values best, however, said that it’s great to be an American and support whomever you choose.

All Ellen cared about was if the First Lady ever admitted to Kerry that she cheated in their now infamous push-up contest. No confession yet!

Kerry Washington: “Scandal” Season Two

Kerry stars as Olivia Pope, a crisis management attorney, on the hit ABC series ScandalHer character is based on a real person, Judy Davis, who serves as an executive producer of the show. Judy worked for the George H.W. Bush administration, and has also worked with a variety of athletes, movie stars, and politicians (including Monica Lewinsky). “If you have a problem, she can fix it,” Kerry said. However, she doesn’t come cheap!

The scandalous new season of Scandal begins Thursday, September 27 at 10 p.m. on ABC.

About the author

After my childhood dream of achieving Olympic figure skating gold fell through, I moved on to Plan B: become a writer. I've been writing since I can remember, and consider myself lucky to be making a career out of it. I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in 2011, and since that time, I have worked as a writer, editor and blogger. Luckily for this site, my love of TV borders on obsession.
