Adam Lambert Opens Up To Ellen
Ellen heard all about the Adam Lambert Finland fight when the pop superstar stopped by the show. Adam also gave Ellen the inside scoop about his new album, Trespassing.
Ellen: Adam Lambert ‘Trespassing’ Review
Ellen noted that Adam Lambert’s latest album, Trespassing, sounds different from his previous album.
“It’s real,” Adam said. “My big mission for the album was to write all of these songs and write them about my life and be really honest.”
Adam explained that he intentionally made the album a dichotomy. He said one half of the album is funky danceable music “to party to” and the other half features slower and more somber ballads.
“I think with all the highs come some lows so I really wanted to give a really wide portrait of who I am,” Adam said.
Ellen: Adam Lambert Finland Fight
True to form, Ellen addressed the elephant in the room by asking Adam what happened in Helsinki, Findland. In case you’re unaware of what happened, Adam got in a fight with his boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, at a bar. You can find out more by watching this video: Adam Lambert Arrested In Finland
Adam seemed pretty comfortable talking to Ellen about it. He said they both let their tempers get out of control and that the alcohol didn’t help at all.
“When you add alcohol to a situation, things can get out of control and some people can get emotional,” Adam said. “What happened was we had too much to drink. We screwed up. There was no injuries, no violence. It was more just childish foolish messiness.”
Ellen: Adam Lambert Wake Up Call
Adam said that as embarrassing as the incident was, he’s learned from it that he needs to be more responsible and be a better role model.
“I owe it to myself, my loved ones, and my fans to be a little more adult and pull it together,” he said. “I think the universe always sends you wake-up-calls.”
Ellen said she was really happy to hear that Adam and Sauli didn’t let one bad night affect their relationship.
“We have such a great relationship,” Adam said.
