Dr. Phil: Cassie Doesn’t Want To Start Mending A Relationship
Cassie showed no desire to start mending a relationship with her family that was broken when she started lying about being pregnant, even though her family had a mountain of evidence that suggested she wasn’t. She created Facebook pages and accused her father of killing her baby in utero, and this drama has brought a lot of pain to the family that she left.
Dr. Phil Didn’t Believe Cassie Was Pregnant
Dr. Phil wanted to confirm with her that he did not believe for a second that she was pregnant, and told her that he wished she would tell him that she didn’t believe she was pregnant, either. Despite the disagreement, Dr. Phil offered Cassie help to, at the very least, put her at peace in some capacity, and Cassie said that she might be interested. Wanting to speak with Cassie’s father and sister separately, Cassie then stepped offstage.
Dr. Phil: Cassie Believes Her Own Lie
After Cassie left the stage, Dr. Phil turned to Patience and Todd and said that Cassie is likely convinced that the fictional world she created around her fictional unborn child really does exist.
Dr. Phil thinks that Cassie has created this world for herself because she was bored and unsatisfied with her own life, and she wanted to escape from it badly enough to delude herself with her own lies. However, even if she did know that she was lying, there was no way out of her lie that would save face, and therefore she would never come to grips with reality.
Dr. Phil Gets Cassie A Counselor
Dr. Phil said that he had arranged for Cassie to meet with a female counselor that may eventually be able to coax her out of her fictional world. He said that he was hoping it would work because, beyond that, they may have to move on to involuntary methods of treatment. Here’s to hoping it all works out for Cassie!
