Rob’s past in partying and Alex’s drug use gave them a connection. There were multiple texts back and forth dealing drugs and planning to meet up. After he was beaten and hit by a car, a third voicemail turned up from Mike that was supposed to give them an alibi. It only made them look more guilty.
