Dr Phil: Wife Swap Hooker Wants Second Chance to Be Seen as Normal

Alicia Guastaferro: “Wife Swap Ruined My Life”

Alicia Guastaferro said that Wife Swap ruined her life. She was teased, picked on and had to pay someone to go to senior prom with her. She became anorexic when all of the kids started making fun of her thighs. She wishes that she had never gone on the show.

Dr Phil: Wife Swap Hooker Wants Second Chance to Be Seen as Normal

Alicia Guastaferro, the Wife Swap Hooker, wants a chance to be seen as a normal person. She told Dr Phil she was bullied mercilessly after Wife Swap aired.

Alicia Guastaferro’s Drug Problem

Alicia talked to Dr Phil about her out of control life. Her pain and anxiety have caused her to abuse prescription drugs. Her mother just supports whatever it is that Alicia does, whether it’s dating a man 40 years older than her or being an exotic dancer at a gentleman’s club.

She takes a huge amount of drugs. There are pills for anxiety, to help her sleep and to numb her emotions.

“Another pill, another day, another problem,” she said.

Wife Swap Makes Their Families Act Out

Alicia’s mother, Karen, wanted her daughter to have the best things in life. She once bribed a director of a pageant $15,000 to get Alicia a win. She was shocked when her parents told her about the bribe, but after a while she came to accept it.

Before Wife Swap, Alicia was spoiled. After the show aired, Alicia described her life as “a living hell.” Karen said that their family was picked because Alicia did a lot of activities, like tap, jazz and ballet dancing. They thought the show would be like Hannah Montana because it was produced by ABC and Disney.

Alicia said she was acting for the show. She did whatever the producers wanted her to do. She thought this would be her big break.

Alicia Wants a Second Chance

“I just want people to give me a second chance. I’m a real person. There has to be a light at the end of the tunnel,” Alicia said.

She learned a lot from being bullied and doesn’t want anyone to go through that.
