Dr Phil: Imaginary Friends
Casey Anthony seemed to be living in an imaginary world. She invented friends, a job, coworkers and boyfriends. Every day, she got up and got her daughter dressed and went to a job that didn’t exist. Jose Baez, her former attorney, said this indicated that something was deeply wrong with Anthony. He was speculative of everything she said, but there was evidence to suggest it might be real.
Dr Phil: Casey Anthony’s Lies
Here are some of the things Casey Anthony lied about.
- Caylee being OK
- Having a nanny, Zanny
- Being pregnant
- Working at Universal Studios
- Zanny kidnapping Caylee
- Jesse Grund being Caylee’s father
- Eric Baker being Caylee’s father
In addition, Anthony invented a whole web of people that were her imaginary friends. She invented bosses at Universal, coworkers, boyfriends, a nanny and the families of these characters. Baez was speculative of these friends she was talking about, but she invented this all years before Caylee’s death. He said this was evidence of something being wrong with Anthony and something more going on than just making up lies to get off a murder charge.
Baez said it was his duty to represent his client and defend her. He started to find evidence to support some of these lies and was just presenting it to the court. It was up to the jury to decide her fate.
Dr Phil: George Anthony Abuse Charges
Baez said he presented the abuse evidence to the court because the prosecution presented Anthony’s post-death behavior. He presented the abuse as an explanation of her behavior and actions after Caylee died. He said he never felt bad about accusing George of abuse because it was his duty to defend his client and present the case.
