Dr. Phil: Ed Will Divorce Johnna If She Doesn't Stop Enabling Her Son

Johnna is always enabling her son, and it’s interfering with her marriage.

Johnna has taken enabling to a whole new level. Her 23-year-old son, Chase has been spoiled by her to the point where Johnna’s husband of two years, Ed, says that if she doesn’t cut him off soon, he might be looking to get a divorce.

How bad could it possibly be that someone would want a divorce, you ask? Well, for one, Chase happens to be a father…a father whose mother happens to pay his $5,000 in annual child support. In addition to that, Johnna pays his cell phone bills and even applies to jobs for him.

Dr. Phil: Johnna Mothers Her Son Out Of Guilt

When asked why she is enabling her son so badly, Johnna says she thinks it is out of the lingering guilt she feels because Chase’s father was never around. As a single mom, she worked two jobs to take care of him, and Chase says that she left him home alone quite often. Chase took issue with this, along with the fact that she jumped from man to man and reportedly mistreated him.

Johnna denied all of these things.

Dr. Phil: Chase Blames His Way Of Life On Johnna’s Mothering

It looks like Chase not only has those issues, but actually blames the way he is living on Johnna and the way she raised him. He said that she does more for his child’s mother than she does for him, puts him down, and actually does nothing for him. He says that she never taught him anything about how to survive in the real world, and has suffered for it.

Once again, Johnna denied all of these wrongdoings.
