Dr Oz: Cold Remedies
Are you tired of getting colds, even in the summer? Dr Oz shared some natural cold remedies and recipes, including Pineapple Tea, Capsaicin Spray, and even Dr Oz’s Homemade Cough Syrup Recipe.
Mary from Canada was in the audience, and she said she is always battling colds. Hopefully Dr Oz’s natural remedies will give her some new tools in her fight to stay healthy.
Colloidal Silver Spray Review
She typically relied on Vitamin C and cough drops to keep her sore throats under control. Dr Oz said these products treat the symptoms, but not the root cause of a cold, which is the infection. Here are some treatments he suggested instead.
Colloidal Silver Spray is a heavy duty sore throat treatment. Gargle about one teaspoon a few times per day. You can find it at a drugstore for around $10.
Dr Oz Congestion: Pineapple Tea Remedy
Mary said that she really struggles to kick congestion as she is getting over a cold, and of course Dr Oz had a solution for that also.
Try eating a cup of fresh Pineapple every day (or get it from Montel’s Energy Smoothie Recipe). You could also drink two cups of Pineapple Tea to get the benefits. Pineapple is also available in supplement form in drugstores.
Dr Oz’s Homemade Cough Syrup Recipe
Lucky Mary got her hands on Dr Oz’s Homemade Cough Syrup Recipe, and now you can try it for yourself too.
- 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1/4 teaspoon Ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- Mix ingredients in 2 tablespoons of water.
- Gargle before swallowing.
Dr Oz: Capsaicin Spray Review for Headaches
The cold remedies kept coming, with a solution for those awful headaches. Try Capsaicin Spray to get relief. Just squirt two sprays in each nostril, whenever you need a little sinus headache relief.
Dr Oz said you should try to get a little more sleep when you are fighting off a cold. The more sleep you can get, the stronger your immune system will be. Emotional support can also make a difference when it comes to a quick recovery.
Dr Oz: Bilberry Extract Dosage
Dr Oz also recommended an immunity boosting supplement. He suggested 100 mg of Bilberry Extract, three times per day.
Dr Oz: Garlic Foot Massage
Last on Dr Oz’s list was a foot remedy using the health benefits of Garlic. Just mix Olive Oil and Garlic Cloves and rub the mixture on your bare feet. Then cover them in socks before you nod off.
Though this may stink up your bed, and probably won’t improve your natural foot odor, it does allow the garlic to absorb into your bloodstream as you sleep.
